Great looking but not so great inside! August 27, 2010 E. Hermann I got my Speedway Chronograph back in November 2009. At first I loved the watch and it worked great. I collect watches so did not have it on everyday... A short while later as I was wearing it I notice the chronograph (timing hand - large second hand) go off 12:00. I know I didn't hit the watch on anything... I was using the chronograph feature and the hand did not return back to 12:00 when resetting it. I adjusted it by unscrewing both the start & stop buttons for the timer and pulling out the main shaft like one would set the time on the watch. Pushed the buttons to move the timer hand forward or backward. Once done it seemed to work again but after a short while the same thing happened... I performed the same adjusting procedure to fix it.
I started wearing the watch just about everyday and making sure that it worked and that I didn't hit or drop the watch on anything. It seemed "OK" for a while. One night I put it down on a table and the next morning it stopped working all together. I had to "tap" it lightly on the table to get it to work again.
I own another Invicta diver's watch (large one) and do not have any of these issues at all. It's not a chronograph but it works fine.
The movement and other inner components of this watch are really cheap. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE THE $$$ TO BUY A BETTER MADE WATCH. I've had better success with Pulsar Chronograph watches than this one. I own several of these and have never had any issues with any of them. One of them is about 18 years old and still works great!
Great Buy August 20, 2010 The Watch Geek (USA) I must agree with everyone! This is a gorgeous watch! Save yourself hundreds of dollars and buy this one instead. Just know its kinda on the small size so please do not buy if you are looking for a big watch. It's kinda on the very low end of mid size. It's definfely about a 40mm. Not 42mm. But it is the best you'll find for this price and size!
A Gift for my Father-In-Law August 12, 2010 Scarab Bought this as a gift for Father's Day. I didn't get much hands on experience with it, but it looks nice and my Father-in-law hasn't said anything negative to me about it.
attractive but is it accurate stop watch ? July 31, 2010 southwind 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Watch is attractive, but I was dissappointed with the chronograph functions. The stop watch does not utilize the second hand, but one of the smaller dials, therefore accuracy of the stop watch is not very good. Function of the smaller dials is more appearance than usefulness.
Doesn't work :/ July 21, 2010 JurassicPark Just got the watch today. Beautiful watch, but mine came defective with the large second hand wandering and the chronograph feature not working. The little second hand is the one that should be always moving, the chronograph second hand is the big second hand. When following the instructions the little second hand would just blaze around when it should have reset. It was all rather silly really.
However, Amazon is sending me another one with one day shipping. Here's to hoping the second one works. Beautiful watch, just bad Quality Control, or it's just my luck. Probably a bit of both really. Also, there's no point in sending the watch to invicta at a charge if it's defective out of the box. That's just poor customer service on invicta's part.
